We have completed the SASINKOVA apartment building in the wider center of Žilina.
The project of the apartment building was created in cooperation between our design team and the architectural studio Michal Diviš Architekti:
"The proposed architectural solution of the Apartment Building is a combination of traditional and at the same time timeless use of simple clean lines, recessed or raised masses separated by color from the dominant mass and an entrance portal with a staircase that at first glance appears to be a separate part in cold metal. The northern facade is therefore mostly covered by a steel structure of the staircase and communication areas. The eastern facade, recessed in the ground floor with a minimum of windows to the technical infrastructure and with sloping columns or walls, creates space for covered parking. The ground floor also has the main entrance to the building in place of a metal staircase

The southern facade brings sunlight to the largest rooms through large French windows with access to the balcony, while the balcony consoles prevent the building from overheating - shading in the summer. The balcony railing "breaks" the building with color and complements southern facade. The last floor is also raised as a "box" from the main mass of the building, where a spacious loggia is available. This raised part is colored differently. The western facade has a row of windows on the first three floors, a closed staircase made of expanded metal and the last floor is recessed and colored differently from the main mass of light color."

The apartment building offered seven two- and three-room apartments on 4 floors.
All apartments comply with the A0 standard - the so-called passive building (in accordance with the "TNB" standard - almost zero building), which includes windows with insulating triple glazing, high-quality design and construction, heating and cooling of the apartments through a renewable source of air-to-water heat pump with underfloor hot water heating throughout the apartment and, above all, a controlled ventilation system with heat recovery in each apartment.
